Privacy Policy

The short version

  • Lift stores all your data locally on your device and in your own iCloud account.
  • We have no server. No data is transmitted to Zima Logistics or any third party.
  • No account is required. We never know who you are.
  • No analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs are included.
  • HealthKit: we write workout summaries and calories to Apple Health only. We never read from it.
  • GPS is only accessed during active cardio sessions. Location data never leaves your device.
  • Purchases are handled entirely by Apple.

1. Who we are

Lift is published by Zima Logistics LLC, a company based in Boulder, Colorado. You can reach us at support@zima-logistics.com.

2. Data we collect

We collect no data. Lift does not connect to any Zima Logistics server and does not transmit any information about you or your usage to us or to any third party.

All workout logs, exercise history, body stats, cardio routes, and app settings are stored exclusively on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We cannot access this data.

3. iCloud backup

Lift uses Apple's iCloud infrastructure to back up and sync your data across your own devices. This backup is part of your Apple iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Zima Logistics cannot access your iCloud data.

4. Apple HealthKit

With your permission, Lift writes workout summaries and active calorie data to Apple Health. Lift never reads data from Apple Health. You can revoke this permission at any time in iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Lift.

5. Location and GPS

Lift requests location access only when you start a GPS cardio session (outdoor run, cycle, walk, or hike). Location data is used solely to record your route and calculate distance and pace. Location access is released when your session ends.

Your GPS route data is stored only on your device. It is never transmitted to any server. You can set Location access to "While Using App" in iPhone Settings at any time.

Lift never requests background location access or "Always" location permission.

6. Analytics and tracking

Lift contains no analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, advertising networks, or tracking libraries. We receive zero telemetry about how you use the app.

7. In-app purchases

Lift is sold as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store. Payment is processed entirely by Apple. Zima Logistics receives only the aggregate sales report from Apple and never sees your payment information, name, or Apple ID.

8. Children's privacy

Lift does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Because Lift collects no user data at all, it poses no particular risk to children's privacy. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store.

9. Data retention and deletion

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you control its retention entirely. To delete all your data, delete the app from your iPhone. To remove the iCloud backup, delete the app and then remove its iCloud data in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → Lift.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
